Charlie needed an acoustic sounding instrument that could survive in an electric, solid-body environment. Previous attempts to build a fully acoustic 8-string yielded a great acoustic that could not stand up to the power of Charlie's band. So Ralph Novak developed the semi-hollow-body 8-string. Charlie loves it.

This spruce top, chambered, mahogany back version of the Charlie Hunter 8-string is two pounds lighter and slightly rounder in tone but with all the horse power of the solid body model. Add a set of optional Graph Tech Ghost piezo electric bridge pickups and you have a sparkling acoustic 8-string sound at concert volume level.

The Charlie Hunter semi-hollow-body 8-string comes with the following:

• Arched, spruce top with clear or AMBER, AMBER SUNBURST or TOBACCO SUNBURST finish. Optional figured maple top.
• Chambered mahogany back.
• Mahogany neck with ebony fret board and white pearl dot inlay or optional DIAMOND INLAY.
• Chrome or black hardware.
• Volume control for guitar and volume control for bass. Optional tone control for guitar. Optional 5-way rotary switch for "split-coil" sounds. ELECTRONICS OPTIONS.
• Optional GRAPH TECH GHOST piezo electric bridge pickups.
